Dear John,
When I served as an armor officer in the U.S. Army, I understood the effect of putting our nation’s powerful tanks in play and how we could change the outcome of the battlefield in the blink of an eye. A line of American tanks moving towards you is a force that few can reckon with.
In my work with CVA in Ohio I don’t command tanks or fight on the battlefield, but I do get to work with a group of policy changers and community builders who are also a force to be reckoned with. One of these heroes went from serving on multiple fields of battle to serving his community in Ohio.
Adam Miller is a Marine who served his country in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. When he got out of the Marines, he wanted to continue his service but faced his own struggles in civilian transition. That’s when he found CVA:
“The volunteers, the activists that I meet on a daily basis, their passion is what inspires me. We know that there are a lot of issues impacting all Americans…but when we come together, when we put the partisanship aside and we really work towards a better American future, that’s when we see real change happen.”
Adam was immediately connected to CVA’s mission: to fight for a freer and more prosperous America. When he served overseas, this was the same thing he fought for. Now, he brings both his tenacity as a Marine and his perspectives as a veteran, husband, father, and member of his community. He works tirelessly, every single day, to advance policy that will protect our interests and keep Americans safe.
You can join Adam in his fight and work together with CVA to make sure America continues to be the exceptional nation it is. We are not just a community of veterans. We are a community of Americans and that’s who we continue to fight for.
