Don't let the name fool you: The Honest Elections Project is an oxymoron at best, and a danger to democracy at worst. Either way -- we must stop their newly exposed $250,000 plot to suppress the vote this November.
The Guardian revealed the group is funded by the same dark money network that pushed Supreme Court picks Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch. Now they're spending big to stoke fears of voter fraud and attacking commonsense election protections such as vote-by-mail.
We're working to counter voter suppression efforts from organizations like The Honest Elections Project. In the past few weeks, AOTL supporters have contacted their members of Congress more than 25,000 times demanding election security protections. But with voter suppression campaigns on the rise, we're going to need more help to fund our grassroots advocacy programs.
