Hey John,
Are you ready to lead a movement of young people fighting for reproductive justice in your community? Applications are now open for the
Youth Activist Alliance (YAA)—and we’re
looking for Lead Organizers in Alabama, Minnesota, and Nevada to join our next cohort!
This is your chance to join Advocates for Youth’s Youth Activist Network (YAN) and take the lead in building out a youth-led alliance in your city, county, or state.
You’ll work alongside local youth to launch real campaigns, organize events, and take action for change, whether that’s targeting city councils, school boards, or state legislatures.
- You'll receive in-depth training
- Attend our all-expenses-paid Youth Activist Institute in Washington, D.C.
- Get paid $15/hr for 10 flexible hours per week
- Plus, get tools, resources, and year-round mentorship from Advocates for Youth staff
Who Should Apply?
- Young organizers (ages 14–24) who are deeply connected to grassroots work in AL, MN, or NV, and have experience leading campaigns. We especially encourage those already embedded in local organizing to apply!
- Applicants not selected as lead organizers will still be able to join their state's alliance as members and volunteer leaders, take action in campaigns, and receive training/resources from Advocates for Youth.
Want to gain year-round support for your activism and build your power as an organizer? Apply here by May 1st!
And remember, applications are due May 1st - that's just a few weeks away.
I look forward to seeing the great applications this year.
In solidarity,
Mozn Shora
Coordinator of Mass Mobilization and Digital Organizing
Advocates for Youth
P.S. - if you're not ages 14-24, can you forward this email to someone you think would be a good fit?
Or to an organization who works with young people? We need everyone to do their part to help us build this incredible group!
Plus, we find that most of the people we accept were told to apply by a trusted adult, mentor or friend.
So send this to someone you think is a rising star today.
