Tell Congress:
"We must have funding for voting by mail to keep us safe and keep our democracy functioning in the midst of a pandemic. The House has already acted. Now, the Senate must act."

John,
This fall, tens of millions of people throughout our country will have the civic responsibility to vote in one of the most consequential elections in our nation's history.
But we are facing an incredible challenge. The COVID-19 pandemic creates substantial public health concerns for voters and poll workers, alike.
Vote by Mail offers an effective, secure and logical way to vote without fear of contracting the novel coronavirus. The House of Representatives has already passed legislation that would fund voting by mail. States cannot afford to make the needed changes without this federal help. Now it's time for Mitch McConnell and the Senate to act!
Add your name! Join CHN and our coalition of national partners and sign the petition to the U.S. Senate: Demand funding for Vote by Mail to keep us safe and keep our democracy functioning.
We are facing a global pandemic, a collapsing economy, depression-level joblessness, rising poverty, and homeless and hunger levels that are rising exponentially. We need to make sure we have the tools in place to make sure all eligible Americans have the opportunity to vote.
Voting by mail is critical to making the 2020 election safe and accessible.
We want our government to focus on the needs of struggling families, the poor and the vulnerable. The next election will help set the course on crucial policy issues for years to come. To make our voices heard, we must create a safe option to vote by mail during the pandemic.
In Wisconsin, at least 67 people contracted COVID-19 after voting in-person or working at the polls in early April. We can't allow concerns of contracting a deadly disease deter people from voting. We must take the commonsense step to allow people the unrestricted option to vote by mail.
Several states have already successfully enacted universal Vote by Mail including Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, California, and Hawaii—and these states are seeing a higher voter turnout as a result.
Sign if you agree! Together, we must demand the Senate pass legislation to fund stronger election safety measures, including voting by mail.
Thank you for your support during this challenging time,
Deborah Weinstein Executive Director, Coalition on Human Needs
