Donald Trump just signed an executive order to dismantle the Department of Education. But eliminating the Department of Education would require an act of Congress.
Sign our petition urging Democrats in Congress to do everything in their power to save the Department of Education.
If the Department of Education is abolished, children who need the most support would be harmed the most. For example, funding for low-income students, those with learning disabilities or other special needs, and English language learners would be cut or eliminated.
