We need you to speak up for public school students in North Carolina, John.
The Trump Administration is attempting to unconstitutionally shut down the Department of Education, and if they succeed, more than one million students attending public schools in North Carolina will feel the pain.
And the students who are most in need — kids with disabilities or from low-income families — would be the hardest hit.
Josh is standing up for public school students and teachers and he needs you to join the fight. Add your name to our petition calling on the Trump Administration to abandon their plans to dismantle the Department of Education >>>
Over $1 billion in annual funding to North Carolina’s public schools could be at risk if the Department of Education is eliminated. These funds support thousands of staff positions across our state’s public schools. They fund programs supporting students in poverty or those who need special education services. This is a crisis.
John, cutting staff and slashing funds is exactly the opposite of what North Carolina public schools need. We should be increasing funding for schools so they can hire and retain qualified teachers and give every child the resources they need to succeed.
Public school students and their families are relying on us to stand up and reject the Trump Administration’s dangerous plan to shutter the Department of Education. Add your name to Josh’s petition NOW to stand with us.
Thanks for taking action on this critical issue,
Team Stein
