Urging Shareholders to Reject Anti-Israel Proposals at General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin

JLens, an ADL affiliate that advocates for Jewish priorities in the corporate arena, calls on shareholders of two prominent global defense companies to vote AGAINST shareholder proposals that JLens believes were designed to press the companies to cut links with Israel.

The companies, General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin Corporation, are portfolio holdings of TOV, a JLens-sponsored faith-based ETF that was launched earlier this year with the support of ADL to advocate for Jewish communal interests.

As ADL’s CEO Jonathan Greenblatt noted, “While both the shareholder proposals filed at General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin claim to be concerned with human rights, they are actually thinly disguised attempts to pressure these companies into severing ties with Israel, a major objective of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.”

Speaking Up in Sandy Springs: The city of Sandy Springs, Georgia, has passed a set of municipal ordinances enhancing public safety and protecting all residents from the tactics used to spread hatred and intimidation across the community.

The ordinances come after over a year and a half of work spearheaded by ADL’s Southeast Regional team and are based on ADL model language designed to address antisemitism and extremism. Recognizing an alarming surge in extremist activity, ADL developed this series of common-sense public safety measures to support local governments looking to address the public safety concerns this activity creates, while ensuring that these measures protect First Amendment freedoms.

Sandy Springs joins a growing number of communities across the South actively working to protect their residents and visitors from rising levels of extremist activity.
