I have alarming news and I wanted to break it to you personally: Our six health clinics in Gaza are at immediate risk of closing permanently.
Our government funding for clinics in Gaza has been terminated. A humanitarian aid block has been in place in Gaza for more than five weeks. We are now facing a devastating reality: Without emergency support, we'll be forced to shut down all six of our clinics in Gaza.
Our clinics serve an average of 3,000 patients each week - mostly women and children. Since launching in 2024, we've delivered over 100,000 primary care consultations and supported thousands of pregnant and postpartum women. I can't overstate how catastrophic our clinic closures would be for our patients:
* Children who are at risk of going hungry will lose access to the nutritional support keeping them alive.
* Pregnant women will be left without the care they need to safely carry and deliver their babies.
* Infectious diseases will spread rapidly in overcrowded shelters, with no medicine to treat them.
* And the rising death toll - already unconscionable - will accelerate as basic health care disappears.
But we are not giving up this fight.
We are looking at every possible option to get this termination rescinded and to fill this gap and keep saving lives in Gaza. That's why I'm writing to you today.
