As a leading facial recognition company, Clearview AI has stolen over 50 billion images from social media and websites — without receiving individual consent. They created one of the largest facial recognition databases in the world using illegal and unethical practices on the backs of everyday people like you. Their database matches images with personal information and exposes family and friends, romantic partners, religious affiliations, political beliefs, or sexual preferences…and sells it to the highest bidder.
Clearview’s biggest customers are law enforcement and immigration authorities, including your local police department. This technology allows the Trump administration to abuse their authority and even target their perceived political enemies. This administration is using this dangerous and not fully reliable technology to advance their neosegregationist agenda. e
But there are options to counter them. Your State Attorney General can hold Clearview AI - and other bad actors like them – accountable.
Clearview AI profits by taking our data without permission and turning it into a surveillance product. This doesn’t just make Black communities less safe; it leaves everyone less safe. State Attorneys General (AGs) have the power to investigate and stop these violations of our privacy rights, but they need to hear from us now.

That's why we're inviting you to sign our petition demanding that State Attorneys General: (1) Tell us how many law enforcement agencies and offices in their state use Clearview AI; (2) Investigate potential consumer protection and privacy violations by the theft of our personal photos; (3) Join with other AGs in coordinating nationwide investigations, and; (4) Enforce consumer protection state law to protect people’s biometric privacy.

Clearview wants to weaponize our own images and data against us. We cannot sit idly by and watch another greedy corporation steal the essence of our lives for profit.
