Donald Trump’s latest round of blanket tariffs are crashing the economy, causing lasting damage with international partners, and most importantly: They’re raising costs for American families. 

While Donald Trump claims these tariffs will boost American manufacturing, the reality is these blanket tariffs will impact everyone. Americans will see higher prices, and American businesses will suffer from strong retaliatory actions abroad.

They’re a disaster for our economy, for the small business owners in Northwest Indiana and across the country, and for the workers who are already facing rising costs. Let’s call Trump’s tariffs what they actually are: a huge tax hike on the American people.
