 Friend, After Donald Trump announced his so-called “Liberation Day” tariffs, financial markets crashed, Americans’ retirement savings took a massive hit, and the risk of a recession skyrocketed. Americans across the political spectrum demanded that Trump stop playing games with our economy. But while Trump may have retreated, this is far from over. Trump’s reckless trade agenda has not only caused chaos – it’s also done lasting harm to our economy. 10% across-the-board tariffs remain in place, businesses are putting everything on hold, and no one knows what Trump is going to do tomorrow. It doesn’t have to be this way. Congress has the power to end Trump’s trade war today. That’s why Chuck and Senate Democrats passed a bipartisan bill to stop Trump’s tariffs on Canada and introduced legislation to halt them globally. But to stop the madness, we need to keep the pressure on Congressional Republicans.
