John, the rise of fascism and the worsening climate crisis are deeply connected — and the time for urgent action is now.
Climate chaos is fueled by the same people in power who are currently attacking our democracies and our rights all across the globe. As climate activists, we must recognize these connections as we advocate for renewable energy solutions and a safer future for all.
That’s why we’re inviting YOU to join us for the Climate and Fascism Webinar Series, hosted by the 350 International Solidarity Working Group (ISWG).
This won’t just be a conversation — it will be a call to action. Here’s what to expect from this Climate and Fascism Webinar Series:
Part 1: The Growth of Fascism
📅 When: April 24, 2025 (Thursday) 7PM ET / 4PM PT
How should we understand the current moment, with fascism and authoritarianism on the rise in the U.S. and globally? How is this related to climate change?
Join our exciting line-up of speakers as we discuss the growth of fascism in the U.S. and around the world, and how our climate struggles are intimately connected to the fight for democracy. We’ll be joined by Jeremy Brecher from the Labor Network for Sustainability, Biju Mathew from the New York Taxi Workers Alliance, and Lorena Araujo from CRIPDES (the Association for Development of El Salvador).
Part 2: Climate Movements at the Intersections
📅 When: May 8, 2025 (Thursday) 2PM ET / 11AM PT
How is the relationship between fascism and climate change manifesting in the U.S. and globally? How are communities and organized movements responding?
Part 2 of the series brings together powerful organizers from Turtle Island and beyond to discuss how their climate struggles are responding to the militarism and xenophobia of the world-wide fascist project. We’ll be joined by Tefere Gebre from Greenpeace USA, Kathy Jetn̄il-Kijiner, poet, educator and performer from the Marshall Islands, AL Caballes from Desis Rising Up & Moving (DRUM), and Helena Mullenbäch Martínez from 350 Colombia.
Part 3: What We Take Forward
📅 When: May 22, 2025 (Thursday) 7PM ET / 4PM PT
In our final webinar, 350 activists who are part of the ISWG will discuss what they have learned from the webinar and think through what lessons can be applied to our climate movement. Webinar participants will be invited to interact with ISWG members and with each other.
The ISWG is a group of 350 activists in the U.S. who are committed to learning about international struggles and making the connections to advance our international climate movement.
Join us and together we will discuss how the climate crisis and the rise of the right are interconnected — and chart a course for action for this political moment in solidarity and unity.
In solidarity,
Nico for Team 350 and the International Solidarity Working Group (ISWG)
