This week, Republicans in Congress passed a budget that slashes Medicaid, food assistance for seniors, and services for children with disabilities — all to pay for huge tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations.

As if gutting critical services wasn’t enough, they also pushed legislation that would make it harder for millions of Americans to vote — especially women, military families, and tribal communities.

Let’s be clear: This isn’t about fiscal responsibility or election integrity. It’s about shifting power away from working families and into the hands of the ultra-wealthy and well-connected.

Susie Lee voted no — on both counts. And she’s not backing down. But the truth is, these attacks will only get worse as we head into 2026.
