Canadians deserve to feel safe where they live, play, work, and worship.

Today, Mark Carney and our Liberal team announced our plan to protect Canadians.

We have a plan to take responsible action to keep assault weapons off our streets with an effective buy-back program. All while protecting Canada’s longstanding traditions of hunting and sport shooting.

Because Canadians deserve to live in safety and security.

We will strengthen our public safety and justice systems to fight organized crime, make bail laws stricter for home invasions and car thefts, shield Canadians from gun violence, and stop the flow of drugs and guns from the U.S. border.

Our plan will also:

- Recruit 1,000 more RCMP personnel to tackle drug & human trafficking, foreign interference, cybercrime, and the criminal gangs behind stolen cars
- Train 1,000 new CBSA officers to crack down on drugs, illegal guns, and car smuggling
- Take specific measures to protect victims of sexual violence, intimate partner violence
- Fight the horrifying rise in hate and protect our communities

- Protect children from online extortion and sexploitation
Pierre Poilievre is the wrong choice at the wrong time. Mark Carney and our Liberal team have the plan to fight back against those who seek to harm us, protect those who protect us, and build stronger laws and policing to bring criminals to justice.

Let's build safer communities here at home.
