Will you pray for my team and me in the Capitol today?

We're urging lawmakers to dedicate enough state funding for adoption agencies, pregnancy centers, and maternity homes—to help moms choose Life.

But the proposed state budget decreases Pro-Life funding.

Representatives will debate until the late hours of the night, and we'll be on the ground until the last moment. (That's why I'm asking for your prayers.)

Here's what we need to accomplish today:
1) Fully fund the Thriving Texas Families program

Texas gives state funds to nonprofits that help women and families choose Life. These providers offer baby materials (like diapers and formula), counseling, job skills training, and more.

Pray for Rep. Caroline Harris Davila to pass an amendment dedicating $210 million to the Thriving Texas Families program.

(Yes, $210 million is a lot of money, but Texas can only spend revenue it has already brought in. Unlike Washington, we can’t spend money out of thin air.)

2) Stop bureaucrats from misusing Pro-Life funds

Two months ago, a government agency made big changes to the Thriving Texas Families program (without lawmakers' say-so). Their decisions would essentially kick out most pregnancy centers.

Pray for Rep. Tom Oliverson to pass an amendment that would stop bureaucrats from harming Pro-Life funding.

3) Defeat pro-abortion amendments and policies

Democrats already filed amendments that could allow your tax dollars to go to abortion groups. Other amendments would cut funding for pregnancy centers and adoption agencies.

Pray that lawmakers vote against every one of these bad policies!

It's not just about the money; it's about the moral values we hold.

Jesus said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matt. 6:21).

More and more women are seeking help to continue their pregnancies instead of seeking abortion.
(We expect a 33% increase in the number of women visiting Thriving Texas Families providers over the next two years.)

Will you ask the Lord for victory in the state budget today?
