*Get state financial aid with WASFA: Apply now!*

Financial aid is money that can help you pay for more education after high school. Most people file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), but not everyone is eligible. Washington offers the Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) [ [link removed] ] for people who choose not to file for federal financial aid.

Important info about the WASFA and its users:

* You can apply or learn more online [ [link removed] ].
* The WASFA is an application for state and institutional financial aid only.
* The WASFA is for people who do not qualify for federal financial aid due to immigration status—including being undocumented—or other federal aid eligibility issues. It can also be used by others who choose not to file a FAFSA.
* State residency requirements [ [link removed] ] now make it easier to get in-state tuition and state financial aid, making college or job training cost less. Many people who didn’t qualify before now do. You must meet state residency and program requirements to qualify.
* If you have completed the FAFSA, you have already applied for federal and state financial aid. Do not complete the WASFA unless your college asks you to.
* Spanish on application: Instructions and form fields on the WASFA application are now written in both English and Spanish.

Not sure whether you should use the FAFSA or the WASFA? Learn more online [ [link removed] ].

There are affordable college and training options for everyone. The first, best step is to apply for financial aid [ [link removed] ].
