 Dear Friend, Some of you have followed my journey from my days playing football to where I am today. Many aspects of that journey haven't been easy, but they've shaped my commitment to protecting the values that make America the greatest nation on earth. I want to share with you why I decided to run for office and what motivates me to fight for the country that has given me so much. My great-great-grandfather came to America in the belly of a slave ship. Raised in the segregated south, my parents – both educators – taught me that anything is possible with hard work, discipline, and faith. These values helped me excel as an NFL player, transition into leadership in my community, and now serve in Congress. Our country has come so far in just my lifetime alone, and so much of our progress has been under attack from forces that want to destroy everything we've worked for. The radical Left is pushing their agenda at every turn, dividing us with their policies, and making it difficult for American families to flourish.
I was fortunate enough to live my American Dream, and I want you and your children to be able to do the same. Members of Congress or leaders in Washington can't take action alone in this battle. We need patriots like YOU to help fuel this urgent effort!
