CNN reports "There could have been three more mass shootings" after 3 men were arrested this weekend for threatening to commit mass shootings. One "allegedly told his ex 'A good 100 kills would be nice.'"
Still, the New York Times reports that Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell "has said he has no intention of bringing the Senate back early to consider new gun laws." He is the top person blocking progress.
We found Republican gun owners in Mitch McConnell's home state of Kentucky who want him to pass new gun laws. As he faces a tough re-election, now's the time to apply home state pressure.
We first made this TV ad in 2013 after the Sandy Hook school shooting as part of a series of ads featuring gun owners who support reform. Sadly, these TV ads are still applicable today -- with the only update being how much money McConnell has taken from the gun lobby, going from $198,615 to $671,347.
The TV ads changed the national dialogue and were covered nationally by CNN, The Washington Post, ABC, CBS, Roll Call, Yahoo News, TPM, Huffington Post, and others. In Kentucky, the Louisville Courier Journal, local NBC, local FOX, The Leo Weekly, the Associated Press, and others covered them.
They are just as powerful today -- maybe even more so because they show how long McConnell has been blocking gun reform for the gun industry.
Thanks for being a bold progressive.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told PCCC members, "The majority of Americans are with us on the policies. Americans support Medicare for All, expanding Social Security benefits, gun reform, debt-free college, and a $15 minimum wage. Bold progressive values are popular EVERYWHERE. Together, we have the people. Together, with your help, we’ll have the votes." Chip in $3 here.
