This week, our friends at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced which Congressional districts are in play for Democrats in 2026…
Good news: they agreed with us and Colorado’s 8th Congressional District was officially named as a top target on that list.
In 2024 AND 2022, CO-08 was one of the closest races in the country. In 2026, it will be again, and defeating Republican Congressman Gabe Evans and winning this seat will be essential to reclaiming a majority in the House and fighting back against Trump. Since being elected in November, Gabe Evans has done his constituents no favors. Instead, he joined the rest of the Republican Party in bowing to Donald Trump and taking his marching orders from Speaker Mike Johnson.
He’s voted to rip away Medicaid from 73,000 of his own constituents to pay for tax cuts for billionaires and is too afraid to host an in-person town hall to tell them why.
Colorado’s 8th Congressional District deserves a representative who will fight for them, a leader who will protect their healthcare and our freedoms. Gabe Evans is not that guy.
