This April, we celebrate that spirit of hope in action—and invite the world to join us. The 2025 Heroes of Tomorrow: UN SDG Action Awards ([link removed]) are now open for applications and nominations, calling on individuals and initiatives who are transforming our world through creativity, resilience, and community leadership.

In a world shaped by overlapping crises—from climate change and food insecurity, to gender inequality, exclusion, and economic injustice—what gives us hope is the courage and creativity of everyday heroes rising to meet the moment.

That is why the UN SDG Action Campaign ([link removed]) has launched its flagship programme with renewed energy: the 2025 Heroes of Tomorrow: UN SDG Action Awards ([link removed]) . These Awards are more than recognition—they are a global platform to spotlight individuals and initiatives who are transforming our world through bold, hopeful action.

This year, we are calling on you to help us find them.

🔹 Deadline to apply or submit a (self-)nomination: 7 May 2025 at 23:59 EST
🔹 Award Categories:

* Resilience Award: For initiatives that have turned adversity into opportunity—demonstrating innovation, perseverance, and impact while overcoming environmental, political, economic, or social challenges to build stronger, more inclusive communities.
* Creativity Award: For campaigns and initiatives that have harnessed the power of creativity—through art, music, film, theatre, digital media, or any form of expression—to shift public perceptions, influence policies, and drive action for more sustainable, equitable, and peaceful societies.
* Changemaker Award: For individuals who are creating lasting change in their communities—whether leading movements or working quietly behind the scenes. These changemakers stand up for justice, equality, and human rights, and inspire others to act.
