It’s simple: I’m running to continue my work to make Philadelphia safer and freer by restoring faith in the criminal justice system, reducing violent crime, standing up to MAGA extremism, and protecting our civil rights.
Over the last eight years, we’ve built an unprecedented coalition to disrupt the status quo and fight against entrenched corruption.
Together, we’ve greatly expanded diversion programs, addressed the root causes of crime, and invested in mental health services, job training, and education to help address the damage that mass incarceration has had on our communities.
Now, as I run for reelection, I’m working hard to continue these policies and build off our success in building a safer and freer Philadelphia.
But no denying that our city and nation are facing an unprecedented threat from Donald Trump — a convicted felon who is already using the presidency to politicize the Department of Justice and crack down on vulnerable communities while he gives his political allies and donors a pass.
In the years ahead, I’ll continue to stand up to MAGA extremists and fight to protect our civil rights because that’s the kind of DA our city deserves — but I can’t get the job done alone.
