I also just published Episode 15 of When Declaring a Firearm Goes (Almost) Perfectly. In this one, I was flying Spirit Airlines from Las Vegas to New Orleans with just a Pelican V100 Vault pistol case—not inside another bag. It was the ticket agent’s first time dealing with a standalone case, but after walking her through the process, it went smoothly. That said, my case still ended up on the regular luggage carousel instead of being held for ID pickup.
