Dear Friends of ZOA,
All of us at the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) wish you – our extended family of friends and supporters – a very happy and healthy Passover.
Passover, known as the “Time of Our Redemption,” marks the beginning of our people’s journey – with G-d’s help – from bondage in Egypt, through the desert, to receive the Holy Torah and return to our ancestral home in Judea.
As we know, this was not a one-time journey. The Jewish people’s return to the Land of Israel is an ongoing cycle, and we are currently battling worldwide attacks on Israel’s sovereignty, as well as attacks on the connection of the Jewish people throughout the Diaspora to our ancient and current homeland.
Why is this year different than other years?
This year is an election year for the World Zionist Congress (WZC) – the parliament of the Jewish people. The slates with the most votes will have more of a say in how the WZC’s $1 billion budget is spent – and the ZOA Coalition plans to fight for Israel and the Jewish people, not against (like some other slates promoting BDS and giving away Judea-Samaria).
For the past 128 years, the ZOA has played a leading role in securing and obtaining international legal recognition of the Jewish people’s right to reestablish the Jewish State in our indigenous homeland, Israel.
The ZOA has led a delegation at the WZC since Day 1, in 1897, and is currently leading the ZOA Coalition – Slate #15 – consisting of the 30+ leading groups with the proven record of defending Jews, Jewish students, Israel-Judea-Samaria and globalizing Jewish safety.
