Meet Our Speaker

Barbara Brooks is an age-friendly speaker, personal branding expert for women 40+, media spokesperson and educator. She challenges ageism and advocates for multigenerational inclusion, inspiring midlife professionals to embrace their journey, break barriers and redefine possibilities.
 
Barbara has spoken at Denver Startup Week (five times), Western Union, Microsoft Denver HQ and Frontier Airlines, and has been featured on Pfizer's Menopause UnMuted and the UK's Ageism is Never in Style. Her company, SecondAct|Women, was selected for Facebook’s Community Accelerator program, receiving $80,000 to reshape the aging narrative. Recognized as a 2024 Leader in Diversity (Denver Business Journal), a 2023 Top 25 Most Powerful Woman (Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce) and a 2021 Influencer in Aging (PBS Next Avenue), Barbara has been featured in Forbes, MarketWatch, Fast Company, The Denver Post, CBS Colorado and Colorado Public Radio. A Colorado State University graduate and Sigma Kappa alum, she continues to drive change with passion, vision and humor.
