John, it’s time to bring the fight.
I know I won’t stand by and watch as rights and freedoms are stripped from my fellow Pennsylvanians. I won’t stand by and watch as oppressive tariffs hurt our economy and raise costs of living. I won’t pretend things are okay when they’re not.
We need to know what it means to fight, because we’re going to have to fight hard in the face of Trump’s administration.
To fight means to speak truth to power when leadership is failing to protect the people, and standing up to unelected billionaires who aim to cut Social Security and Medicaid.
It means working every day to lift working families out of poverty by advocating for policies that benefit everyday Pennsylvanians, not just the ultra-rich.
It means investing in public education against budget cuts and threats to dissolve the DoEd, because our kids and grandkids shouldn’t have to lose access to quality education because of a reckless federal government.
To fight means to not lose sight of what matters – the people. People like my working-class parents, a hairdresser and a union bus driver, who juggled careers and raising our family. Who work as hard as they’re able and still are forced to struggle.
