“Thousands across Wisconsin protest cuts under Trump, Musk”
- Wisconsin Public Radio, 4/5
|
John,
This past weekend, thousands of Wisconsinites took to the streets — from Madison to Milwaukee to La Crosse — to say what we all know to be true: Trump, Elon Musk, and their ultra-rich allies are rigging the system for themselves and leaving the rest of us behind. If you’re with us in this fight, I need you to chip in now to help keep up the pressure.
They launched reckless tariffs on foreign goods that will raise costs on working families. They’re slashing funding for health care, education, and Social Security. They’re targeting immigrant families and illegally deporting residents, stripping away reproductive freedom, and trying to erase LGBTQ+ voices from our communities. And they think if they throw enough money and chaos at us, we’ll just give up and accept it.
But here’s the thing: Wisconsinites don’t back down from a tough fight.
When Elon Musk and his groups poured $22 million into Wisconsin to buy a seat on our Supreme Court, we fought back, and we won. Wisconsinites elected Justice Susan Crawford because we showed up, organized, and stuck together.
That victory was a reminder: people power CAN beat billionaire power.
But it only works if we keep the momentum going. Trump and Musk aren’t backing down, and neither can we. Their next wave of attacks is already coming on Medicaid, on public schools, on working families across this country, and we need to be ready.
John, we’re fighting for a Wisconsin where everyone has a fair shot, not just the wealthy and well-connected. I’m asking you to stay in this fight with me. Please, chip in any amount to help keep up the pressure and protect everything we’ve fought for.
