We’re painting an “endorsement wall” in the campaign office with the names of all of our supporters.
We’re also asking for more organic outreach on social media, so I’d genuinely appreciate it if you could write a post, post a picture, or make a video of why you support my campaign and our movement.
Since I’m asking you to generously share why you care about our movement, I’ll let you know some personal reasons why I care about it.
My high school guidance counselor told me to go to the best college, regardless of the cost. I took her advice, and I did go to a good school, but in all, including law school, it put me $200,000 into debt.
When I graduated from Seton Hall in 2009, the economy tanked, and the country faced one of the worst job markets ever. I was left without a job, and had to live in my parents’ house until I was 27 years old. I understand what a bad economy looks like - and I’ve seen the mistakes our government made in the past. That’s why I want to massively invest in the economy from the federal level.
After I got back on my feet financially, my wife and I bought a house in Old Bridge, and within ONE year, a fossil fuel company tried to build a pipeline right through my town. They came after the air that my son breathes. But they messed with the wrong father. I don’t want to see any new fossil fuel pipelines - so I’m challenging a corporate Democrat who wants to fund new ones.
Then, just this year, with ever-rising property taxes and stagnating wages, my wife and I realized we had to downsize. So we moved again.
The system is broken. I’ve seen it firsthand. And, what’s more, I know that many people have it much worse. That’s why I became a government housing attorney. It’s why I’m running for Congress. We need politicians who put people over profits, who stand up for the 99% and advocate for the ambitious changes that we need.
I’m up against a 32-year incumbent. He’s had his chance to make change in this country, yet by almost every metric, working-class Americans are worse off than they were when he took office. It’s time for a new vision. It’s time for a new leader. That’s why I’m running to win this election.
