Hi John,
I want to share something personal with you — not just about where I come from, but why I do this work.
I grew up in Tempe in a working-class family that, like so many others, had to make tough choices. There were times we didn’t know how we’d get through the month. My family relied on food stamps and support from our church, and it was that community care that helped us stay afloat.

My parents worked hard — and I mean hard. They taught me what it means to show up, to put in the effort, and to never forget where you came from.
Those lessons stuck with me. They’re why I started volunteering at my church. They’re why I became a social worker. They’re why I helped lead one of the largest domestic violence shelters in the country.
And ultimately, why I ran for office — because I couldn’t ignore how many families were falling behind through no fault of their own.
Now, as Governor, I carry those experiences with me every single day. I’m working to make Arizona a place where families don’t have to struggle just to get by — where opportunity is real, where housing and health care are affordable, and where every child can thrive.
But I can’t do it alone.
If you believe in building a state that works for everyone — not just the well-connected or wealthy — I hope you’ll consider supporting this campaign today.
