Ted Bordelon, Board President and Founder of Agenda PAC, emphasized the campaign’s momentum and scope: “50-for-50 is about naming names and building power. For too long, bigots have been able to push anti-LGBTQ+ policies under the radar. No more. This is a national movement, with local muscle, and we’re bringing the receipts. The truth is: hate is beatable. And we’re proving it in every state.”
The campaign comes at a critical moment in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, as hundreds of anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been introduced in legislatures across the country. From book bans to bans on gender-affirming care, discriminatory policies have skyrocketed, often driven by lawmakers who rely on silence, misinformation, and low voter turnout to stay in power.
“People are fired up and they’re looking for ways to fight back,” said Sims. “50-for-50 is our answer. We’re connecting the dots between policy and power, between hate and the people who enable it. And most importantly, we’re giving voters a plan to change it.”
With support from national donors, grassroots activists, and community leaders, Agenda PAC’s 50-for-50 campaign is designed to galvanize action ahead of the 2025 and 2026 election cycles. The campaign will be digital-first, shareable, and deeply collaborative with local organizations who know the terrain and are leading the charge.
