This change is to accommodate members wanting to attend the 4/15 Bernie/AOC rally. For meeting details and to register... go HERE. This past week feels like a real shift in momentum. It was amazing to see the millions of folks turning out to fight for democracy, across the USA. In more than 1,600 cities and towns across the USA, including Auburn, Jackson, Roseville and Sacramento, to fight for our democracy. In addition to the growing "Hands Off" movement, Democrats flipped a Trump +15 PA State Senate seat we had not won since the 1880s; blew it out in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race despite Elon’s rancid intervention; overperformed in the 2 Florida House races as we’ve been doing in special elections across the country. In addition, Congressional Dems are successfully getting their Republican colleagues to join them in challenging Trump, Thune and Johnson more directly. The DNC and House Dems/DCCC have launched their “People’s Town Halls” in red districts and the DNC launched a “People’s Cabinet” on Friday. And Senator Cory Booker lifted all of us up this week by challenging his colleagues to keep raising the bar, doing more, and fighting harder and more effectively. As Senator Booker said: The power of the people is greater than the people in power In El Dorado County we have our own People's Town Hall being held in Cameron Park tonight (see below). And Bernie Sanders and AOC will be here on April 15th for the 'Fight Oligarchy' Tour. Let's keep the momentum going! April 9: Garamendi Visiting Town Hall Congressman Tom McClintock CD-5 has not conducted an open, pre-advertised townhall in nearly 8 years. That is a grave disservice to his constituents. These are alarming times, causing serious questions and concerns about what’s happening in Washington D.C. and how it affects our country, our county and us as individuals. Indivisible El Dorado and co-sponsor, El Dorado County Democrats, are providing the opportunity we deserve to hear from a current Congressmember who cares about us, knows our district and will answer our questions truthfully. Congressman John Garamendi, CD-8 Joining us via Zoom, live from Washington D.C.
