This is how elections work. We grind away for 2 years, honing our platform, showing where we stand with our actions -- not just our words. Then, most voters wait to make up their minds in the final 48 hours, including maybe your mother or co-worker or best friend.
That’s why we are asking you for one last thing: could you take 15 minutes right now and write out a personal note about why you’re supporting the campaign? When you’re done, email or text it to everyone you can think of. Can you send to 10 people? 25? More? If you have a little more time, post it to social media. Better still: call these folks individually. One conversation with a friend or family member is worth more than 100 generic mail pieces.
In your message, you can talk about a Town Hall you attended. You might mention that we’re the only campaign that doesn’t take corporate PAC money, the only campaign with a union staff, the only campaign that has a plan to legalize cannabis, make broadband a public utility, end mass incarceration, and keep our wealth here in West Virginia.
