It’s time to MARCH! This Saturday, April 12, at NOON, join our contingent at the People’s March.
We are joining with Alex U. Inn and Juanita More of the People’s March from Embarcadero Plaza to Civic Center. We’re forming our own contingent. We will be carrying our Indivisible SF banner and making our presence known.
Here’s what you need to do:
Want to march? Sign up for our contingent so we can email or message you with instructions.
Want to spread the word? Download, print, and post our flyers wherever you can! Flyering was a key component in our massive turnout for April 5, and we’ve got great printable flyers so you can do it again.
Download the full-page flyer here.
Download the mini-flyers here.
Read about SF Public Works’s rules for posting signs on public surfaces in San Francisco.
Want to help us keep the event safe? If you are interested in being a safety monitor at the event, please fill out this Google form and join us at 11 AM at Embarcadero Plaza. We can train you and provide materials.
Our next General Meeting is on Sunday, April 20.
Come blaze it with us this 4/20. And by “it,” we mean the Trump administration. And by “blaze,” we mean resist.
We’ll be at 518 Valencia at 2 PM. Join us and learn about our core teams to build a long-term resistance to fascism and defend our neighbors and loved ones.
Space is limited, so you have to RSVP to attend this in-person event. RSVP on Eventbrite.
The SAVE Act is back. We must stop it.
From Indivisible National:
If we’re going to come out of the next four years with our democracy somewhat intact, we’ve got to do everything within our power to ensure fair elections in 2026. Which is why we absolutely, positively must stop H.R. 22—the voter suppression bill Republicans call the SAVE Act, but we’re referring to by a more accurate title, the "Silencing Americans Act."
Our Senators and Representatives are not currently on the list of officials Indivisible is pressuring, because they’re already a NO on the Save Act. However, as we’ve seen with the marathon 25-hour speech by Sen. Cory Booker, our Members of Congress have extraordinary power to stop this bill, and they need to take any and all measures to do so.
Call your Members of Congress and tell them: do everything you can to STOP the SAVE Act!
No more children living in the streets - Mayor Lurie and our Supes must keep our immigrant families housed!
On Monday, April 7, 2025, the unhoused immigrant families of Faith in Action Bay Area held a press conference to give testimonies about their experiences working with the San Francisco County system.
They spoke about the challenges in trying to find jobs to make a living wage adequate enough to cover SF rents, the insane requirement that they establish credit in order to rent (an unrealistic ask given their economic realities and the short turnaround requirement by the city), the scramble to find housing so their children do not have to live on the streets, and the 90-day eviction policy reinstated in December 2024 by the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH), which is forcing families back onto the streets.
Call Mayor Lurie and your Supervisor and tell them: no more children living in the streets!
A Call to Action from our Media Accountability Group: Letters to the Editor!
We salute Rachel Maddow’s coverage of the “Hands Off” protests nationwide. Many of the images shown on her program were sourced from local Indivisible chapters. She also highlighted work that protesters did in one part of the country where media coverage of their protests had been dismal; those protesters wrote letters-to-the-editor to their local newspapers and TV stations, calling them out for their failure to inform the public of the protests.
Our Media Accountability, Balance, and Protection (MAB+) group supports this tactic wholeheartedly. You can and should write to our local news outlets, too.
You should write a letter to the editor whenever:
- The media fails its public duty by putting Trumpian lies before American truth.
- The media reports what Trump or his Administration or lackeys said or did without putting it in context.
- The media perpetuates false “both-sides” balance rather than favoring truth over propaganda.
- The media neglects a viewpoint or idea that you think deserves public consideration.

Indivisible SF joins five other groups to protect the Trans community - SB 497
California State Senate bill SB497 would enact protections for patient privacy, with the intention of protecting people receiving gender-affirming care.
Currently, law enforcement agencies in other states are able to access some medical records—including hormone prescriptions—without a warrant or subpoena. Given the level of attacks trans people are currently facing from the federal government, this is a very important bill to protect California’s trans community, many of whom came here because California is meant to be a sanctuary state.
For these reasons, Indivisible SF has joined four other Indivisible groups (representing Sacramento, San Jose, the East Bay, and Mariposa/Yosemite Area) and the Coalition Against Project 2025 to submit a letter of support for SB497.
You can find our letter of support here.
Thank you for coming together to say Hands Off!
Whether you went to Ocean Beach, came to Civic Center Plaza, or both, or went to a Hands Off event somewhere else, thank you.
Over 10,000 people joined us at Civic Center Plaza. From what our sibling groups around the Bay Area tell us about their events, the whole Bay Area turned out 25,000 protesters or more—and that’s guessing low. Check out all the signs at Pro Bono Photo’s album!
Thousands, if not millions, came together from sea to shining sea to say Hands Off our Social Security, Hands Off our healthcare, Hands Off our trans siblings, Hands Off our immigrant neighbors, and more.
Among the speakers at our event were people affected by Trump and Musk’s slash-and-burn destruction of our government, State Sen. Scott Wiener, and writer and activist Rebecca Solnit (who gave beautiful closing remarks). We also had tables representing us, 50501 SF, GreenAction, and the Working Families Party, and we hope that at one of those tables, you found a way that you can get involved.
A rally can be an exciting moment, but it is ultimately just a moment. We need to build a movement, one person at a time. That person could be you. There is a place for you in this movement—so whether it’s with us or another group, come join us in the empowering, heartening, life-affirming work of resistance.
