Hey, it’s Travis again, following up from yesterday.

Message acknowledged. More than 10,000 of you signed our petition yesterday to stop Trump’s birthday parade. We’ve got two months to raise hell on this, and that’s what we’re going to do.

Like I said yesterday, the odds are against us this time — but we’ve got to try.

If you haven’t signed our SAY NO TO TRUMP’S PARADE petition yet, join those 10,000 and add your name here.

NO PARADE: [link removed]
Or, if you’ve already signed and you want to do more — chip in to VoteVets by using this link. We’ll put it straight to work on ops like this aimed at combatting Trump and his administration.

Be back with more soon.

Until then, Semper Fi.

Hey everybody, it’s Travis from VoteVets.

You probably remember back in 2018 when Trump wanted to throw a massive Military parade in DC. You probably also remember that he ended up pulling it down — and VoteVets was a big reason why. We gave him and his administration hell for it, we got enough people speaking out, and we got him to cancel.

Well, bad news: The parade is back. He wants to throw it as a 79th birthday present to himself, as if the four day weekends golfing while the economy burns down weren’t enough.

A parade like this would degrade Military readiness at a time when we’ve alienated our allies and pissed off our adversaries. It would cost a ton of money, probably over $100 million, and is a logistical nightmare. Beyond all that — we’re a democracy. These parades are what dictators do to project strength and distract the public.

And that’s exactly what Trump’s doing here. The stock market is crashing, his administration is forcing through trillions in tax breaks for billionaires, and they’re gutting services millions of Veterans depend on. No better time for a massive, expensive, ridiculous parade.

Not on our watch. The odds are against us this time — Trump’s fired everybody who disagrees with him. He’s firing principled Military leaders, too. And his Department of Defense is full of “Yes Men.” But what we do still matters. If enough people come together and speak out against this, we might just stop it (again).

I’m asking you to join VoteVets today and speak with one voice: SAY NO TO TRUMP’S PARADE. It might seem like a small action, but when thousands of people join you it sends a big message.
