Hey John,
The Trump Administration has been attacking transgender people since it began, and now they're eyeing trans health care.
Tell this administration you support the protection health care for trans people in the Affordable Care Act!
The Trump Administration is proposing a rule that would change how coverage for gender affirming care is handled: ACA plans would no longer be required to cover this care. Trump has attacked transgender identity and trans young people's rights and well-being in schools, in health care settings, and in any institution that receives federal funding. Now he's intervening in insurance coverage - all to harass, isolate, and erase transgender people.
Join our colleagues at Advocates for Trans Equality and submit a comment by April 11 to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) telling them why preserving ACA coverage for trans health care is essential. It's easy - there are comment guidelines and a template provided. The Administration needs to hear that attacks on trans people are not OK and we won't tolerate this continued discrimination.
Sincerely,
Amber Barcel
