Friend — Trump’s reckless tariffs are threatening a full on recession.

I’m sure we’ve all watched over the last week as the stock market has reacted to the prospect of huge tariffs on literally every single country around the world.

He calls the day that he announced these tariffs “Liberation Day” — the only thing Trump is “liberating” is YOUR money from YOUR wallet straight into the economic dumpster fire he’s creating.

Because it’s not just about the stock market and investments. These tariffs will drive up the cost of everyday goods and put even more stress on our household budgets. They’re effectively a huge tax that will be paid for by the American people. A Trump Tax.

Listen, we should absolutely be investing more in American manufacturing, infrastructure, and the workers who make that possible. We should be building more things and creating a prosperous, fair economy.

But these tariffs are not the way to do that. Not even close.

Trump’s trade war proves that he and the far-right have no real agenda to help the working class. He ran on bringing down inflation, and now he’s driving up the cost of everything from your coffee in the morning to the bed you sleep on at night.

If he really wanted to help the working class, he would rollback these tariffs, stop collaborating with billionaires like Elon Musk to gut public services, and work to bring down the largest costs that working people face, such as housing, healthcare, education, and childcare.

Friend, we’re only three months into this administration and we’re already talking about a historic economic crisis. We must keep pushing to expose Trump and rally support for our alternative vision of the future where everyone can prosper, without chaos and panic.
