And I’m proud to say: we’ve done it.

But this week, the U.S. House could take up a bill that could threaten everything we’ve built.

It’s called the SAVE Act , and it sounds harmless enough on the surface. But let me explain why it’s not.

The SAVE Act would require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote. That might sound like a simple safeguard. But in reality, it would create a massive barrier for millions of eligible Americans , including seniors, veterans, students, low-income voters, and natural-born citizens who simply don’t have the right documents on hand.

I’ve joined Secretaries of State from across the country to speak out against this bill.

But right now, we need more than statements. We need organizing, action, and grassroots support. We need another 2,000 people to join us this week. Will you chip in $10 or more to help us fight back against dangerous bills that turn voting into an obstacle course? [[link removed]]

We’ve seen how this plays out.

Over a decade ago, Kansas passed a law just like this. The result? Tens of thousands of eligible voters were purged from the rolls or turned away. Even Kansas’s own Secretary of State now admits the policy failed.

Minnesota has a better way.

We’ve used secure, reliable systems to ensure only eligible citizens vote—and our success has been recognized nationally. We’ve struck the right balance between election security and voter access.

Let’s keep elections secure and fair—for every eligible voter. Help me continue to do that by pitching in $10 or more now → [[link removed]]

Thanks for standing with me,

Steve
