This is urgent: The House of Representatives is expected to vote on the
so-called “SAVE Act” (H.R. 22) tomorrow – and we need your help to stop
it.

Republicans are once again trying to chip away at the right to vote. The
SAVE Act is their latest attempt to make it harder for millions of
eligible voters – especially from communities of color – to register and
cast their ballots. They claim this bill is about “election integrity,”
but don’t be fooled – it’s about making voting as difficult as possible
for communities they want to silence.

The SAVE Act would force voters to repeatedly prove their citizenship –
even when they’ve already done so. This would disproportionately affect
Latino, Asian American, Native American, and other voters of color, who
are far less likely to have easy access to documents like birth
certificates and passports.

It’s no coincidence that Republicans are pushing this bill now. They’re
using fear and misinformation to justify voter suppression – exploiting
baseless claims of voter fraud to fuel a narrative that simply isn’t true.
Time and again, these tactics are used to make voting harder for people
who have fought for decades to secure their rights.

If passed by Congress, this bill would open the door to mass voter purges
and further marginalize communities that already face barriers at the
ballot box. It’s a direct attack on our democracy, and we can’t afford to
let it go unchallenged.

It’s clear what’s happening here: Republicans want to change the rules of
the game because they’re afraid of a fully inclusive democracy. We must
fight back against these cynical attacks on voting rights.
