Dear National Park Advocate,
This could be huge. Congress is poised to send much-needed help to our
national parks -- proving that even in the midst of a national crisis,
parks truly bridge Washington's political divides.
National parks face at least $11.9 billion in backlogged repairs --
that's everything from trail maintenance to visitor center repairs to
replacing old and unsafe electrical wiring. Year after year, parks
have been asked to do more with less.
But a bipartisan bill to fix America's parks could come up for a vote
in the U.S. Senate this week... and need to hear from park advocates right away.
Tell your senators that you want them to vote YES on the Great
American Outdoors Act -- a major step in fixing the backlog of
maintenance needs in America's parks!

Not only is the Great American Outdoors Act a big step in tackling
parks' maintenance needs, it would also provide crucial funding for
the Land And Water Conservation Fund -- one of the most successful
conservation programs ever -- another big priority for NPCA and park
advocates everywhere.
Parks and gateway communities are suffering through hard times... but
shovel-ready projects to fix national parks could bring much-needed
support to local economies that rely on outdoor recreation and tourism.
That's one of the reasons the Senate should act now -- and one of the
reasons it's so important for park advocates to keep speaking out.
Park advocates like you have been working alongside NPCA and park
champions in Congress for years to make park maintenance a priority --
sending nearly 100,000 letters along with hundreds of phone calls and
countless office visits and social media posts. You've shown
Washington that Americans from across the political spectrum will come
together in support of national parks. You've got their attention.
Friend, now's the time to make sure the Senate finishes the
job.
Tell your U.S. senators to support
America's national parks by passing the Great American Outdoors Act!

I know you've worked hard for this moment. Thank you once again for
everything you do for America's national parks,
