Where was Trump this past weekend as millions of Americans were protesting and the economy was in a free-fall following his dumb tariff policy? The golf course.
Meanwhile, Republicans in Congress hid from their constituents to avoid simple questions about whether or not they’re going to let billionaires and giant corporations get away with larger tax breaks.
Look, it doesn’t have to be this way. Congress has the power right now to reel this back in and stop this madness.
With every Democrat on board, all we need are a handful of Republicans. So we’re mobilizing voters to keep up the pressure and demand their representatives show up for their constituents instead of bending the knee to Trump.
Democrats may not be in the majority right now, but not having as much power as you want is not the same as having no power. We have power right now, and we need to use it.
We have the power right now to keep exposing Trump and Musk’s intentions to dismantle our government to set up a massive tax break for billionaires. We have the power to connect with voters across the country about how Trump and Musk’s actions are harming working people. And we have the power to build a massive grassroots movement fighting for an economy that works for everybody.
If you’re with me in this fight, and you’re in the place to make a donation right now please split a donation between our campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and Tennessee Democrats so we can keep telling our stories, keep organizing, keep fighting — and win.
At the end of my town hall, two little girls named Sydney and Sky stood up and asked how kids like them can help things get better.
I told them: You have power. You know how to stand up for what is right. And you have a chance to stand up now.
If all of us follow Sydney and Sky’s lead and ask how we can help make things better — I know our movement can make transformative change.
Thanks for being a part of this,
Elizabeth
