Team —

Did you see Friday’s big news out of North Carolina? It’s a major development in the ongoing attempt to overturn last November’s state supreme court election:

“New court decision in a disputed North Carolina race means 65,000 votes are a step closer to being thrown out” — NBC News

As a native North Carolinian, I’ve seen far-right extremists go to great lengths to manipulate maps and stifle the will of the people here. But what’s happening in the Tar Heel state right now is a new low.

In the face of attacks like these, All On The Line is mobilizing grassroots activists in North Carolina and across the nation to fight for fair elections and fair maps.

As this case continues to move through the court system, I’m asking if you can rush a $15 donation to help power our grassroots efforts to protect democracy everywhere it’s under attack. → [link removed]

Here’s what you need to know: Back in November, Justice Allison Riggs won re-election. That was the result after all the votes were counted... and recounted... and recounted again. But her opponent is trying to convince a court to invalidate over 65,000 (legally valid) ballots — a brazen attempt to overturn a result he doesn’t like.

Why? Well, before last November’s election, Jefferson Griffin said he wants to ensure there’s a conservative majority on the court for the upcoming redistricting cycle, which could mean another decade of manipulated maps.

It’s mind-blowing that this challenge is even moving forward. And it’s the canary in the coal mine for democracy.

No one should be able to throw out legal votes after the election is over, and no one should be able to grind our system to a halt and waste taxpayer dollars because they lost a free and fair election.

But make no mistake: if this attempt to steal an election succeeds here in North Carolina, partisan extremists will try to export it nationwide.

Here at All On The Line, we refuse to stand by while the very foundations of our democracy are threatened. And we’ll keep fighting for free and fair elections across the country.

At this critical moment, please make a $15 donation to help ensure a truly representative democracy. → [link removed]
