Dear A.,
President Trump announced yesterday that the United States is engaging in direct negotiations with Iran over the regime's nuclear program.
According to

reports , White House envoy Steve Witkoff, who has been deeply involved in the hostage negotiations, will lead the U.S. delegation to the talks, which will take place in Oman on Saturday.
"If the talks aren't successful with Iran, I think Iran is going to be in great danger," Trump said yesterday. "You know, it's not a complicated formula. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon."
AIPAC supports time-bound talks to achieve the Trump administration’s stated goal of verifiably and permanently dismantling Iran’s nuclear program. To be effective, these talks must continue to be coupled with the implementation of maximum pressure and a credible threat of military force.
Meanwhile, according to a

new report , Iran is expanding its uranium production and may have significantly higher reserves of the nuclear material than previously estimated. Iran may almost quadruple its uranium production this year, the report says.
Iran is now producing the equivalent of one bomb's worth of 60%-enriched uranium per month, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the agency said in February that the regime's stockpile of highly-enriched uranium had increased by 50% over the preceding three months.

analysis in The Jerusalem Post lays out how Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, has its "fingerprints... on everything that emanates from Iran, from nuclear enrichment to regional proxy wars... The IRGC has transformed itself into a parallel state, with its own economy, ideology, and global ambitions, all supported by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and fueled by oil that rightly belongs to the Iranian people but is used to help finance their subjugation."
As much as 50% of Iranian oil exports are estimated to be under the control of the IRGC, and as much as 80% of Iran's oil is sold to China.
The United States must continue to increase the pressure on Iran, including by fully enforcing economic sanctions, to counter the regime's support for terrorism and ensure it never possesses a nuclear weapon.

intercepted a drone launched at Israel "from the east," shooting it down before it entered Israeli territory.
The Houthis took responsibility for the attack, and also claimed to have targeted two U.S. Navy vessels in the Red Sea with missiles and drones.
While meeting with President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu yesterday, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said, "It’s been a bad three weeks for the Houthis and it’s about to get worse."
The United States must continue to increase the pressure on Iran and its Houthi proxy.
AIPAC launches ad campaign targeting senators who supported Sanders' anti-Israel resolutions
Last week, 14 senators voted with Bernie Sanders on his anti-Israel resolutions to block vital arms sales to Israel.
The resolutions were overwhelmingly defeated, reflecting the Senate's continued broad, bipartisan support for our democratic ally.
Today, AIPAC launched an ad campaign across the 11 states these senators represent, educating constituents about their dangerous and irresponsible votes. Watch the ad playing in Maryland below:
