Friend, the crisis in Myanmar is becoming more dire each day. Families and children are struggling to survive without reliable access to clean water, food, and medical care. Based on the conditions our emergency response team is seeing on the ground, we've increased our emergency fundraising goal to $100,000.
Here's the latest update from our team:
- More than 3,500 people have been killed, over 5,000 injured, and at least 210 are missing.
- The most critical needs include shelter, clean water, food, and health care.
- With low vaccination rates and limited clean water access, disease outbreaks are a major threat — dysentery is already spreading near Mandalay.
- Temperatures remain dangerously high, putting people at risk of heat stroke.
Now, heavy rain is forecasted this week — increasing the risk of deadly landslides and threatening the thousands of people left sleeping outside and in unstable shelters.
