This week, the U.S. House of Representatives is planning to vote on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act — a dangerous attack on our voting rights that threatens the ability to register and cast a ballot for more than 20 million eligible voters.

If signed into law, the SAVE Act would impose harsh new voter registration requirements like:

❌ Forcing every voter to register or update their registration in person.
❌ Mandating proof of citizenship with documents many Americans don’t have easy access to, like passports or birth certificates that match their current name.
❌ Eliminating voter registration by mail.
❌ Shutting down voter registration drives.
❌ Eliminating online voter registration.

These restrictions would silence millions of voters — especially young voters, Black and Brown voters, women, rural voters, and more.
