Tenant Organizing Updates

Hi John,

 

We have a few updates to share from our friends at the SB Tenants Union:

  • 4/8 SB City Council Meeting Cancelled

    Due to sudden heart attack of Councilmember Eric Friedman, today's council meeting has been cancelled. All items, including stronger citywide renoviction protections, will be moved to a later date. We'll let you know when we need turnout for public comment, but in the meantime, you can send a letter to council using our pre-written template.

Santa Barbara Tenant Assembly

The first ever annual Santa Barbara Tenant Assembly will take place on Saturday, May 3 from 9:30am to 4pm at La Casa de la Raza (601 E Montecito St). We really want to pack the room on this, so if you're free on May 3 we would encourage you to go. You can RSVP here.
