Register now for the California Young Democrats (CYD) 2025 Convention ([link removed]) taking place the weekend of May 30 - June 1, 2025! Join us ([link removed]) for a weekend packed with fun, networking events and receptions, caucus and regional meetings, trainings and political action opportunities, and our CYD/CCD/CAHSD General Session meetings where elections for CYD statewide officers will be held.

Please keep reading below for important notices regarding endorsements, an upcoming electronic vote, CYD Officer elections, CYD Award nominations, and CYD Chartering!

CYD STATE LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE ENDORSEMENT CONSIDERATION & ELECTRONIC VOTE OFFICIAL NOTICE: Pursuant to CYD Bylaws ([link removed]) , we will be conducting an electronic vote via the internet of the CYD State Leadership Committee to consider CYD endorsements for California Democratic Party (CADEM) Statewide Officers and Regional Directors ([link removed]) starting Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 10:00am and concluding Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:59pm. If you are interested in being considered for CYD’s endorsement for CADEM Statewide Officer or CADEM Regional Director, please email CYD Political Director Maiya De La Rosa at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) .

2025 CYD OFFICER ELECTIONS & CONVENTION OFFICIAL NOTICE: The 2025 California Young Democrats Convention will take place in Anaheim, CA alongside the California Democratic Party (CADEM) Convention on May 30, 2025, to June 1, 2025. Meetings will be at the Anaheim Convention Center, located at: 800 W Katella Ave, Anaheim, CA 92802. Pursuant to CYD Bylaws ([link removed]) , CYD will hold CYD Officer elections for all CYD Officer positions and approve 2025 chartering applications. All candidates for CYD Officer positions, including CYD Regional Director candidates, must file their intent to run by email with CYD Secretary Emily Bonner (mailto:[email protected]?subject=CYD%20Officer%20Election%3A%20Intent-to-run&body=) by end of day Wednesday, April 30, 2025. All members of duly chartered CYD chapters are eligible to run for CYD Officer positions.

At the 2025 Convention, CYD will be giving out our annual awards including CYD Persons of the Year, Chapters of the Year, Project of the Year, Officer of the Year, Mentor Award, and our Vanguard Award. Submit your nominations ASAP! ([link removed])

CYD CHAPTER & CAUCUS CHARTERING PAST DUE!
All Young Democrats chapters and caucuses in California must be properly chartered with the California Young Democrats to be eligible to vote in CYD elections and meetings. CYD has extended the 2025 CYD Open Chartering Period one last time prior to our 2025 Convention to make sure all chapters and caucuses are able to fully participate. All returning and new chapters must submit their respective chartering information and documents for 2025 no later than Monday, April 14, 2025.
