Hi John, it's Wes.

Maryland law requires public officials like me to stop fundraising while the legislature is in session. For months, my team and I focused on delivering results for Maryland — while putting any efforts to fundraise for our campaign on pause.

Today, we’re pressing play. Now that session is over, we can build the resources to continue fighting for our administration’s priorities again. That’s why I’m asking you to make an online contribution to our campaign right now.

With a three-month pause, we have a lot of ground to make up. So, we’re setting a $10,000 goal to meet this moment.

If you are able, please make a contribution of $10 or any amount today to help us make up the fundraising gap. [[link removed]]

To run an operation like ours, we need a strong base of grassroots supporters.

The team that we’ve built is powerful. It’s why we kept you updated on each and every step of the work we’ve been doing throughout the fundraising freeze.

A surge of early support is how we set the tone for the summer. It’s how we prove the strength of our movement. And it shows that, at the end of the day, we’re a people-powered campaign.

Make your first post-freeze donation of $10 now to help us launch this new chapter. [[link removed]]

I don’t expect you to chip in to every email we send, but I hope you will contribute today if you’re able to. I’m deeply grateful for every person who invests in our movement. That support is how we got to where we are today, and it will be critical in the fights ahead.

Elevate,
Wes
