John,

You’ve been hearing from us lately about troubling stories of how our democracy is being threatened by executive overreach. Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been recklessly gutting critical agencies that protect and serve everyday Americans. But it’s not just DOGE, now tariffs threaten to make things even worse for many Americans — with blue-collar industries feeling the pinch, retirement savings obliterated as stock prices fall, and prices virtually guaranteed to go up on goods and services we all need.

In the face of all this, you’ve answered when we’ve called on you to put pressure on Congress to protect and defend our Constitution. Because Congress has the power and duty to serve as a check on the executive branch and put a lid on a lot of the chaos we’re seeing in D.C. right now. We can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done to help us turn up the heat and make sure every member of Congress hears our voices urging them to stand up for our democracy.

The good news is that the pressure is working! We’re starting to see Republicans put the brakes on executive overreach [1] and we have to keep the momentum going. Our team is actively reaching out to members of Congress in key districts with a firm message: The time for constitutional courage is now and the people are with you. People like Sens. Collins (ME), Tillis (NC), Murkowski (AK), and Reps. Sessions (TX) and Bacon (NE) have held the line in the past and we’re making sure they do it again.

This is an all hands on deck moment and we need your help to go even bigger with our efforts.

Will you chip in $5 today so that we can have an immediate and impactful presence in key states so that these members of Congress hear our demands to stand up for our system of checks and balances?

Chip in $5!

We can’t do this without you,
The Issue One Team
