John, Adam Schiff here. It's my honor to serve as California's newest Senator, and now, one of your DSCC Vice Chairs fighting to flip the Senate blue.
In a moment, I'm going to tell you why we must take back the Senate majority and hold Trump accountable. But first, I need to ask: Will you donate $5 to the DSCC to make it happen?
Let me make this as plain as possible: Donald Trump isn't fit to lead.
As an impeachment manager during Trump's first term, I warned the Senate about who Donald Trump was -- and what he would do if Republicans refused to hold him to account.
And how did most Republicans react? With shrugs and -- more importantly -- votes to let Donald Trump walk away scot-free.
Now, we're living the consequences of that decision. Many of those same Republicans are still here, nodding approvingly as Donald Trump pardons violent insurrectionists, dismantles vital government programs like USAID, and threatens birthright citizenship.
And that, John, is exactly why we must take back the Senate: Republicans will never punish Trump for his actions, so if anyone is going to stop this madness and hold Donald Trump accountable, the responsibility falls to us.
