Dear Friend, 

Later this week, the House of Representatives is expected to vote on Congressman Chip Roy’s (TX-21) SAVE Act. This legislation will require states to obtain proof of citizenship – in person – before registering an individual to vote in federal elections and requires states to remove non-citizens from existing voter rolls.

This is especially important in our state as Governor Walz and his Democrat colleagues recently passed a law which automatically registers people to vote when they apply for or update their driver’s license. At the same time, Governor Walz signed a bill into law that enables illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses.
