Canada’s natural heritage is under threat from climate change and unsustainable development practices. It is also under a more immediate threat: President Trump wants Canada’s land, water, and resources.

To connect Canadians with nature, Mark Carney and our Liberal team plan to create new parks and conservation areas, and make access to existing National Parks and Historic Sites free this summer.


Our plan will also:

- Bolster Indigenous stewardship and funding Indigenous-led conservation projects
- Enshrine First Nations’ right to water into law
- Protect our freshwater

- Protect nature where it protects us by implementing nature-based climate solutions

- Clean up, maintain, and protect wildlife in and around our coastal waters

- Champion nature conservation internationally with efforts to stop illegal wildlife trade across our borders

While Pierre Poilievre and his Conservatives are busy ripping pages out of Donald Trump’s playbook, Mark Carney and our Liberal team are focused on fighting, protecting, and building for Canadians.
